Wales Geography

Wales is a country of the United Kingdom. It boarders England to the west. Wales is washed by two channels and one sea: the Bristol Channel - to the south, St George’s Channel - to the west and the Irish sea - to the north. The capital is Cardiff. Most of the country is mountainous. High plateau and mountain ranges are surrounded by river valleys especially in the centre of the upland area. The Cambrian Mountains – is the main mountain range of the country. The type of Welsh climate can be called temperate. The sunniest and driest months of the year - May, June, July and August, as for the winter – there are no heavy snowfalls or something like that. Most you can expect of Welsh winter – heavy rains, that’s why going to this country in winter don’t forget to take the umbrella and raincoat.
